We held a meeting last night to form a cabinowners association for the purpose of raising funds to repair and maintain the old road to our cabins in Roundabout and Lance aux Barques. Before I left the house, I told my husband that I was not going to take the Chairman position... but yeah, you guessed it, I got roped into it. I don't know how to say the word NO.
My mind is working overtime today trying to think of some good and different fundraisers that we could use.
If anyone has any ideas, I would love to hear them.

We did an art auction once that was pretty successful. I ended up buying a strange farm painting with a rather weird silo in it in the heat of the moment, as I recall! ;-)

There are so many fund raiser going on all the time it's getting difficult to think of ways to generate funds. One way a church in our area did it was to give every parishioners who wanted to participate, $5.00 and asked that the generate some money with their talents with it. It was very little but it set up a competition amongst the parishioners.
ReplyDeleteFor example one woman made a pie and sold the pie to a friend and bought more stuff to make more pies and made a profit with it and turned over the profit to the church.
I don't know your area or population so I'm at a lost to help you.
