Well what a wintert we are having here in Newfoundland. This is how it looked outside our cabin on January 23rd.
We figured that getting a ride on the snowmobile was totally out of the question for this winter. But wait, Mother Nature had a change of heart and a week later on January 30th. we were looking at this..

Warm Hands, Warm Feet
I don't know about you but I am one of those people whose hands and feet are always cold. I just knit myself a pair of Newfoundland Thrummed Mittens and they are the toastiest warmest mittens. They have pieces of roving knit into every third stitch in every fourth row (staggered) and that provides extra insulation.
Add to this a pair of Cowhide boots (Made in Canada) rated to -40C that my hubby gave me for Christmas....
And I am ready for THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A better year ahead
Ah.... Christmas, a time to celebrate family and friends. After the scare that we had in August it was a wonderful time with Grant at home with us after his ordeal. He is healing amazingly well. God is good. This was taken at his homecoming parade.
Finally, got to finish the cushion that I was doing for my niece and her husband for their wedding. A little bit late but they loved it. I had it finished for their trip home for Christmas.
All is well and here's hoping that 2011 will bring only good things our way.
